The Officers and Members would like to remember Life Member Mike McTighe on the anniversary of his passing. Mike served Sandy Spring VFD since 1990, both as an active member and more recently as a Life Member. He served as the alternate MCVFRA delegate, a former director on the SSVFD Board, and representative at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial. Most people will recall he was Santa on top of the Mack for many cold years. He is also a retired veteran of the US Air Force. Mike was always there when the department needed him and his lifelong commitment to SSVFD will be sorely missed.
