On Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at approximately 1155 hours, Sandy Spring Stations 40 and 04 along with surrounding stations were alerted to a building fire at 18101 Prince Phillip Drive, Box 40-08. Paramedic Engine 740 arrived on scene and found fire out from a lithium ion battery. The incident was held with PE740, PE704, AT718, T715, RS717, C704, BC704, and HM728 for ventilation and battery overpack. There were no injuries.
