November 30, 2025 – SSVFD Responds to Home Fire at the 16900 blk Harbour Town Drive

On Sunday, November 30, 2025 at approximately 1825 hours, Sandy Spring Paramedic Engine 704 was alerted to an automatic home fire alarm, which was upgraded to a house fire assignment a short time later, at the 16900 blk Harbour Town Drive, Box 04-26. Upon arrival, units found fire out in the kitchen with smoke throughout the house. Working smoke alarms alerted the occupant, who was able to safely evacuate. Units stayed on scene to ventilate.

Working smoke and CO alarms save lives!

This is a reminder to test your smoke alarms monthly, and review a home escape plan and common meeting place (example: end of the driveway or at the mailbox) with your family.
