On Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at approximately 2224 hours, Sandy Spring Stations 04 and 40 were alerted to a house fire at the 23100 block of Howard Chapel Road, Laytonsville Rural Box 17-07. Laytonsville units arrived on scene to find a working fire on side Charlie (back of the house). A Water Supply Task Force and Rapid Intervention Dispatched were dispatched to assist. The fire was extinguished, units checked for extension, and there were no
injuries.
